Check out Logitech and Saitek, either of these brands are good in the force feedback department.

I purchased a Logitech Wingman Force 3D and liked it very much. I only used it for 2 weeks then purchased the Ch Yoke. If you are interested it is for sale.

I use the CH yoke and pedals and will never go back. The amount of realism that the yoke and petals give you far surpasses a feedback joystick. A joystick just doesn't give you the real thing when your flying. You have to have the pedals for real rudder control and the yoke has all kinds of controls all over it. The yoke has throttle, prop and mixture and if you want realism, you need that way before you need force feedback.

Ditto to twoturntwo's comments.. I use the pedals from my Logitech MOMO steering wheel set..They work great too. If you were to invest in the yoke I purchased mine from an add on this site. The co. is ESSCO AIRCRAFT. The best price I could find at the time.

hey- dont get to exited about yokes. They are darned expensive and also, try dogfighting with one. But if you are only into civil planes, then go ahead...i'd still reccomend the hotas cougar by thrustmaster...it's on the f-16!!

It is kind of like choosing a restaurant. If you are a teenager, you will probably just choose the less exensive drive-in window at the fastfood restaurant. If you older and and want to enjoy your meal, you will choose the higher priced but better service at the sit-down restaurant with a hostess, waiter, tablecloth and dishes.
I hope that my response does not trigger a dog fight from my younger friend who favors the hotas cougar by thrustmaster. |

It really depends on how you wish to set up your reality. Some aircraft use a stick, some use a yoke. Even some airliners use a side-stick with rudder/brake pedals. I know people who keep a stick a yoke and pedals handy so they can set up for nearly all types of aircraft. As for myself, I use a Logitech Wingman Force and my indestructuble keyboard. While it is tricky to control the choppers, I am otherwise satisfied for now and prefer to save my money for my own personal flight deck when I get the time to build one.
