I have tried many and I prefer this above any that I have seen. Personal taste really. Give it a try and see what YOU think.

I have used several and settled on OceanFX2 which allows me to set it to whatever mood I'm in. Also, it is freeware and another great carryover from 2k2 that works well in Fs9. Be aware that you must have the graphics power to run the water effects slider all the way up to truly enjoy most of these effects files.

Those two programs are known to cause issues with FS settings reverting back to default after closing the settings menu.

Lortiawhak like me you do not have a Direct X 8.1 fully compliant graphics card. No matter how good your RAM or whatever if you do not have this 8.1 compliant card then your slider will not stay at full as I found out after a shouting match with Nvidia and EA Games after I got Medal of Honour Pacific Assault for Christmas and the game will not run because of this problem. Stupid computers-is there anything they can do! Evil or Very Mad
oh well, no point dwelling!

Its not specifically related to Nvidea cards....any card that from a manufacturer is not 8.1 compatible will not work for certain settings in FS. Nvidea, ATi and some voodoo cards do have patches to get around this problem though provided by their manufacturers so good idea to check with them.

Now, we return to you to your regularily scheduled programming...

@Exx
when I questioned Nvidia(for example) on what i can do they just told to buy a new graphics card or tough which I was deeply offended at since I buy a computer with their graphics card in it and they just tell me to a new card-no water off their back if my card wont accept some games. so as of late I have a running fued with Nvidia but oh well these things happen.
p.s. sometimes a patch is more than is needed as the problem I was told was hardware unless Nvidia are just having a little joke with me Sad Rolling Eyes

Sorry Derek...can you give me the serial # of your card? I'll see if I can get a patch for ya...same goes for anyone here. I know some people who are in with Nvidea and they have to know all there is to know. Don't think they are messing with ya...you seem too intelligent for that. Its bizz man...make money. A patch is free...a new card is profit. Good attitude though. Shoot me that info and I'll do my best for ya'll. I'd be choked too...that is what ATi did to me...not once...I got suckered 3 times.

Oh right cool thanks exx....I know what you mean it is all profit now adays, I really dont think that any companies are out to please the customer anymore but to keep the cash registers "kachinging".
It makes my blood boil but then I remind myself that the company in question is not worth the time and I just go to another company or even better keep the money in my pocket. Very Happy
@exx
it is a Nvidia Geforce 4 MX420!
thanks,
Derek
