No sorry, as far as im aware I think the only way to still talk to atc is through the little box which you press the number for. Still if any add-on company was to try it there would be alot of problems that they would face as people from all over the world use it. What I mean is im sure my strong Glasgow accent is alot different and harder to understand than someone from Florida or Texas. If I am wrong please correct me but as far as I am aware there are none.

Voice Buddy...payware...
Flightsim Manager....freeware and available here on Surclaro. There are others available but I find these two to be the best. If you 'train' your computer right, you can get it to do a lot of things you currently have to touch the keyboard for. No more....
1. For airports closer to you
2. For blowing up ATC tower for bugging you too much
3. Ignore ATC
4. Harass ATC
5. For Airports farther from you...
@ CC...I use AT&T's voices...Crystal is her name I think...loverly bird. Even pretended I was from Mersey or Southhampton to see if I could fool the training system...took a few rounds but it got the hang of it. The more yu train it...the better it is at understanding you...just look wierd talking to your PC is all..."NO, I said...landing lights OFF you silly *beep*..." lol
Hope that helps

If you want to enter many different voice commands then I would suggest that you purchase VOICE BUDDY.
However, if you just want to respond to the ATC with quick easy reponses then you "must" purchase the NOSTROMO SPEEDPAD N50 (I have had mine for about 2 years and I will not fly without it). I love using my Nostromo Speedpad because I can rest my hand on the mini-pad with the lights off and respond quickly to ATC. Whenever you use a standard keyboard, you must keep the lights on to find the number keys.

Skipperdan...excellent link mate! Thanks!
Good point about having to keep the lights on. Used to drive me up the wall fumbling around for keys in the dark! And we all know it has to be dark in the room when flying at night to get that realism. FSM has a great voice feature as well...check that out too.
*heads over to Paypal*
Cheers

You will love the Speedpad. I programmed my ten keys to match my number pad of 1 to 10 which is perfect for responding to ATC. You will probably want to program the wheel and the "thing on the right side" to do nothing.
Drop me a Personal note if you get one. |

Annual attendance to Sun_N_Fun Flyin at Lakeland Florida is fantastic.
Large library of aviation books.
My father is retired and sells books dedicated to antique guns. However, whenever he goes tohe will often find some nice books about aviation and send them down to me. The boys in my mailroom laugh whenever I get a large package from Pennsylvania from my dad because they always know that it must be another box of aviation books.
Three weeks ago, my 29 year old son and I drove up to Savanna Georgia to visit the "Eighth Army Airforce Museum". My son and I had a great "Father and Son" weekend together. |
