| Yep, GMAX is in the "EXTRAS" folder on Disk 1. Install that and then go to Microsoft's site and download the FS2004 SDK. The SDK outlines all of the requirements for building anything related to FS. |

so it's free? and Gmax is also a modeler, so I can make my planes in it too? |

| You will have to search out the tutorials, and there are many. Unless you personally know somebody who is fluent with 3d modeling, you will have to learn it on your own. As far as FSDU goes, we are on the hunt for a Gmax instructor as our current instructor is unavailable for the forseeable future (they are an EMT, and a little bit busy right now). There is a how to included with Gmax, but some people dont think it helps much. I recommend working with it to familiarize yourself with the program. Gmax will only make the model. You still have to come up with the panel and gauges, or make them yourself as well. Then there are the sounds and finally some flight dynamics editing. The alternative to Gmax is FSDS2 which is payware available from Abacus Publishing. |
