G'day all

I am having problems with my terminals in some airports (Heathrow and Melbourne so far) coming over the taxiways and gates covering up the planes parked at those terminals. As you can imagine this doesn't look cool. dodging buildings isn't fun. I have put on Airport environment add-ons and wonder if thats the cause. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

thanks a lot

If you know what those areas looked liked prior to installing the upgrade, then only you can tell if the upgrade caused the problem or not.

You can make adjustments to the taxiways, ramps and such by using AFCAD2. It won't allow you to move buildings or objects, but if a slight adjustment to a taxiway is all that's needed, this will work.

The other day, I read an interesting string over at Project AFCAD directly related to this problem.

http://www.flightsimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?s=bdf8e328347fe39ceb53d12f7459e3c3&t=35920

Basically, there is a certain amount of error in the locations of some airports which can be amplified by the scale of different terrain mesh we use. Best efforts were made in placing them but, as the string points out, there are a lot of variables in how they were reported to begin with. Depending on how the author(s) of the airport scenery add-on(s) obtained and placed the location of the airport, things may or may not line up exactly.

There's no simple way to fix it but, they have the program (AFCAD2) you'll need and the expertise on the fine points of it's use.
