| How do I access the "config" files within FS2004? Where is the FS9 "config" file located? I have SimFlyer's add-on scenery for Dulles International Airport, ( KIAD ), in Virginia, United States. The buildings are beautiful, but now there's a wide, white ring around the perimeter of the airport, where the grass should be showing. How can I retain the upgraded airport, but have grass surrounding the airport, instead of the "white ring"? I knew how to do some things in FS2002 that I don't know how to do in FS2004.........I've read a lot of technical material regarding scenery issues, ( potential incompatibilities, flattening, .bgl file exclusions, ranking layers numerically, etc. ), but when I'm done reading all the background material, I still don't know what to do about my particular problem. Everything I've read does make sense to me, but doesn't prepare me to solve my problem on my own.......I NEED HELP......( please )?.......Thank You. |

| For Windows XP users the FS2004 cfg file is best found using Windows Explorer to open My Computer and then looking in C:/Documents and Settings/Your_User_Name/Application Data/Microsoft/FS9 and it is called fs9.cfg, not fs2004.cfg as you might expect! This is a hidden folder by default so you need to modify the folder options via the control panel: go to the view tab and check the "Show hidden files and folders" option. For Windows 9x users the fs9.cfg file is located in Drive_Letter:/WindowsApplicationData/Microsoft/FS9 |

Try Simflyers for an answer as it is their product that has the issue of the white ring?
Also make it easier for us here RLB...one question per post eh? Too many in a post and they get lost and the thread helps no one...
