five hundred? are You serious? well at least HERE the cheapest ones cost like 800$ or so (perfect if You are only going to use like office and the internet or so, no gaming.), and the ibooks start at, yes, 1k. they are not comparable actually, they are too different. If i werent into games i think i would buy myself a mac. dont know if it would be a laptop, though.
are laptops really that cheap in the US? what about their specs? |

you can find dell laptops for about 500 dollars
but i really a G5 apple computer, too bad i don't have the mula  |

If you are going to use a laptop for gaming, or school/work. If you want a good gaming laptop it will run you about $1,000-$2,500.
I have a Toshiba Satellite A-75.

Video mem-128mb(shared) ATI
CPU-Intel Pent 4 at 3.06 GHz

MTF, Where you live, everything is higher than the U.S.A. Expect to pay about $1,200 for a single card for you.. LOL

Rd, well, i compared prices a little while ago and came up with the fact that i can get the club 3d 256mb gf6600 for (booting up calculator) 240$ . and a complete configuration (excluding monitor and such, only what's in the case)
for about 1000$.
but livin737, are You really sure You want a laptop cuz they still cost more than desktops. do You travel a lot or something perhaps? |

I travel alot alright, as a matter of fact i'm going to Japan
on July 4th be back at Aug 23rd, get some shots of planes
but i only have a crummy rundown laptop
that i got for $50 (Used ALOT) |
