Hi I need a little help. I had one of those horrible windows crashes and had to re-load my FS2002, a nightmare. I re-loaded it several times, lost my down loaded A/c and basically started from scratch several times. I'm now after a month at a decent level again but each time I swithch on nav or strobe lights no banana, nothing. I'm I missing a file or an effect? Can someone please help before I go crazy!! It effects all A/c both flyable and AI. Hope you can help...... Jock

Are your settings in FS for lights set at maximum? Settings/Display/Hardware page...

Thanks for the reply. Yes they are set to 8, All the relavant switches move and landing/taxi lights work its just strobe and nav lights. I'm wondering if an effect or bmp file is missing. Any idea??

Only other setting in FS that may affect you is 'Pilot controls lights'. Other than that...reinstall DirectX, update vid drivers and we'll go from there. A reinstall of FS should have put those files there...

Hi managed to solve this one. I went in to the FS2002 CD's and found the base strobe effect and reinstalled it. Hey presto flashing lights everywhere. It must have been a corrupt file. Thanks again!! Very Happy
