I have been downloading A.I. traffic packs with a bunch of airlines and animated scenery when they are parked( baggage truck, baggage belt, etc.). It has been slowing FS2004 down significantly. How can fix this without sacrificing too much? Question

Hmm, sounds like you downloaded John Murchinson's ARNZ's AI stuff. They have the animated scenery built into the model. The models aren't punched with a lot of poly's, but they are butt ugly, and that animated scenery doesn't help either. I suggest heading to www.projectai.com and download their packages and afcads to get started. And as you get more advanced in the AI field, I would suggest migrating over to aardvark and fs painter models. just to save some frames in the long haul.

Thanx guys. Hey Lortiahawk, post me a link to the patch. Pingpongame, I downloaded those installers and I don't have a clue, what are they for?? Be patient with me please, I am new to this kind of stuff.

you will have to get the PAI installer, it is also located on their site. It will install all your packages and you even have a choice of choosing whether you want them to be visible in Flight Simulator "Select Aircraft" menu or not. Very Happy

So the installers will install the packages I already have and the ones I download from pai, right. Do pai's packages come with A.I. lpanes or do I get seperately? Think

Slow down man...take it one step at a time. If you try to learn how to install AI A/C, repaint A/C, design or model A/C, and maybe still learn the basics of the FS program itself, you're gonna go nuts.

And we'll go nuts trying to answer all of your questions...cause there will be a lot...trust me.

Ok. I'm tring to get the hang of this stuff before I go back to Alabama because I have slow dial-up there and I have broadband here in Montana. Twisted Evil
