Hello, I use Adobe Elements 3.0 and am trying to teach myself how to paint. I need to know how to "copy one side of the planes fuselage paint to the other. I've checked forums, and the Elements Guide, but am still at a loss! Mybe I need to check my glasses! ! Thanks for any help!
Sincerely,
Farmboyzim

Never used Elements but I'm assuming it's the same as in Pshop. Copy your layer(s) and paste them into the image file with the other side of the fuse I would think. What paintkit are you using?

Man, that was fast!!!
How ya doin Exx?
I'm using the Flight 1 Cessna 172. I'm trying the "Magic Lasso", which attaches points to the part I'm painting, which, I assume selects it, at least it looks like it's selected for something! Can't seem to figure out how to copy the layer or texture (?) over. Copying is the problem... Along with my bifocals!
Thanks Exx! Have I confused you enough or shall I try harder?
Sincerely,
Farmboyzim

LOL...no one can confuse me more than I can confuse myself...see?
Flight 1 eh? Ok. Open up the file you want to copy from and either use the general selection tool (square marquee) or Ctrl-Click the layer to select the entire layer. Then open up the other side of the fuse bmp and paste it in as a new layer. Do that for all of the layers you wish to copy over. It's basic copy/paste. Select the area, don't use the lasso tool, and hit Ctrl-C, go over to the other file and hit Crtl-V.

No problem. I forgot to add one thing...when copy/pasting whole layers you still need to align them. So here's another tip. Make a crosshair registration mark on the fuse somewhere (cockpit windows/Door handle) on the original layers. Then when you paste it over you align the reg marks up on the opposite sides. Once done just erase the reg marks and it's aligned. Remember that images can be reversed but text has to be mirrored when doing the other side of the fuse.
