Hi, tomorrow I will be making a flight to Darwin from Brisbane which is estimated to take 4 hours. I am taking my latop and was wondering how do get best battery life out of it. Any programs, setting I can change

Umm.... you can reduce the number of processes running and reduce CPU speed, and run programs that require less CPU Power. also, some aircraft have ports to plug power into so if u have a special plug you can get power there... if your lucky that your seat has the power port

| I was planning to use Flight Sim all the time. Just trying 2 stretch performance. We are economy Qantas, don't think they have power ports |

not sure if qantas has power ports in their economy... American does...

Don't think they do Any last suggestions for increasing battery life. I was thinking along the lines of the software that comes with some laptops that u select a mode and it adjusts everything. |

| dim the computer screen, remove all unneccessary background processes, put all scenery and detail sliders in scenery settings section of FS to lowest, use headphones, make sure fan has a clear air path so you don't use the fan much, don't use any USB devices or other outside things xept headphones, stuff like that. i love my battery, i get about 5 hours if i'm working and like three if im playing a game |

actually places like Sharper Image and Brookestone offer external thin battery chargers so u can hook them up with ur computer in ur plane o wherever when ur computer battery is low. I think it charges for about 5-7hrs and then thats it.
