Im not sure i understand what you mean! You tuned your NAV into the runway heading?? explain!!
Secondly, dont manually turn onto the localiser (unless you want to), just press APR on the AP when the LOC needle moves and the plane should lock on and follow, shortly followed by the decent on the GS! |

MORE HELP!?!...MORE HELP!!?!?...lol, just kidding
sure i can help a bit more...ok, i have a good inkling that you forgot to click on the "FLIGHT DIRECTOR" switch...if this aint on...well, there aint any way your plane is going to fly the ILS APR. without that little sucker turned on. Try turning it on....I know there is alot of switches to...well...switch, but it adds to the realism huh?
If you need, you can email me with the FULL DETAILS to how you are doing your procedure...and i can probly fly the flight myself and tell you later what your doing wrong, or what your not doing. |

@ King Air...kinda defeats the purpose of a forum if everyone were to go private with their lessons and stuff no? If we all share...everyone benefits no?

Maybe 'cause your starting at the wrong end of things. One thing I wish for is a little more complete instruction in FS for these things other than just the functions. Try this clean and simple website on the subject then look at ILS a little more clearly.

I think i've solved part of the ILS problem.
I 'stumbled' on this solution while flying VFR to East Midlands Airport, UK (EGNX). When i say VFR i mean stying under the cloud base, Well here's how i did it.
Set NAV radios to the ILS Frequency of the Active Runway,
And then create an Approch Flight Plan (using the PROC feature) on the GPS system,
And Activate the Plan,
Set the GPS/NAV switch to GPS
Set the autopilot to APP,
This should cause the aircraft to flying the appliach plan 100% by itself leaving you to set the aircraft for landing, it worked for me and this is only a basic way as i cannot lock on the Glideslope
hope this helps |

| Yea, thats right! With an active flight plan (pink line on GPS) with your NAV/GPS switched to GPS, the AP will fly toward the destination airport. Just switch back to NAV and keep low (~3000ft), look out for pink needle movement and hit APP on AP, keep your speed down to less than 200kts. Good luck. |
