That could be the problem. The latest driver is not always the greatest or correct driver. When considering whether or not to update a driver, you should first ascertain what the problem is that you are having. If you are not having any problems then updating the driver is not always the right thing to do. Be sure to read the "change document" to see what was added or removed in the driver support file. There are many times when the changes made to a driver for other applications that you do not have or are not likely to get, could cause your system to become unstable or worse yet, cause widespread incompatiblity problems with the programs that you do have.
This is another case where a backup of original drivers or files would come in reeeeeeeaallly handy. |

My card is:
ATI Tec-RAGE 128 PRO AGP 4X TMDS
It has the requirements and like I said, this problem is a cfs3 BUG, as we learned and read in this:
file:///C:/Program%20Files/Microsoft%20Games/Combat%20Flight%20Simul
ator%203/help/config/configsupport.htm?VendorID=4098%26DeviceID=
20550%26DriverVersion=108
(only for those who have CFS3)
I also cant remember where we read this, so... |

now THAT is an old card. seriously, You are like miles away from the gfx engine in cfs3, the same in fs9. Get a new system.
Oh, and post Your other system specs too, eh? |

looking at those specs, one can only assume that You have a very old motherboard as well. Thus there is no real point in buying a new video card, as new cards have pci-express or agp 8x, however Your mobo is very probarbly a 4x. It should fit (dont know for sure), but a lot of its power would be sucked by the false connection. and that processor is below the REAL expectations of the fs9 engine, too.
suggest You go by the new computer thought. |
