I dont know if this has been mentioned before but I had a problem with flickering trees. I finally found a fix for it.
In your driver settings under advanced there is a setting for "Transparency Antiailiasing" I set it to "Supersampling" and now the trees dont twinkle anymore. I have some success in raising the mip quality higher than 4 as well.
If this has been discussed before I apologize. Thought I would post anyways.
Richy...........

| Oh Man!! I bought a new vid card to get rid of the flickering trees! Actually, flickering trees were just an excuse to upgrade.

Go to Guru3d.com and downlod RivaTuner, nvida and ATI officila VID card Tuner that tweaks the setting, that sucker works, I had miore thatn those problems on this econmoy 5200DT for ove 3 years now, it is running at a full 20 on every view withthe ADD on scenery and all seting in FS9 on full. NO ANTIALIASING in FS9 , never.
Use the global settings and profiles to grab FS9 and make it appear in the list of proggies. When u do do that, name it on the left as FS9. Then when you select a row to adjust, the APPY will take over and move the selections to where the program calls for.
DO not share any RAM with the card, that is for PCI cards only. SET the AGP aperature for 64 Mb in cmos, it is also for sharing Texture ram in PCI vids. DIDABLE FAST WRITES in CMOS, RESET THE AGO CARD VOLTS TO 1.6, save and exite. These a few insider tweaks. Did you use the Picture optimization too? Do so to adjust colors etc. REBOOT. There are about tne things more to sy, you can download this samall proggie for free!
RinaTuner by nVidia and ATI. Your card number is in there and the core gpu# DO NOT DO NOT OVERCLOCK THIS THING! NO NEED. Just have to read the info off web,
Good luck
There are so many things to adjust, In ten minutes with this program afte you red on wht to set for best this or that, you willsee,

You can also use NHancer available at guru3d. Has a lot more options for settings.
