artcom_4 is right. In addition to this..... If you do unistall, put your disk in and start it. hit unistall. this will uninstall everything but it will leave your downloaded aircraft and sceneries alone.
Try this as well or first rather.... Go to main folder of FS2k2. scroll around and find fs2002.cfg, not any others you see there like fs2000, etc. Just fs2002.cfg. Delete it and restart FS2k2. it will automatically rebuild it's cfg file. You will have to do some resetting in settings library.
Also, turn on the trilinear thing. Turn off anti-aliasing.
Turn off "cast ground shaddows".
More help- In desktop, hit start, run, type in.... dxdiag. run various tests for video, sound, etc. If no problems found there still may be problems but it shows dx is working. Make sure youi have dx8a or 8.1, the latest.
I don't know if athelon is the same, but the Nvidia, geforce 3 has no known issues with this game.
Go to Microsoft help, games, fs2k2. They will write back with no charge. They will ask youi to send a couple of files for them to look at. Here's what they will ask you to do:
DXdiag.txt and msinfo.txt are the files they will ask for.
Here's how to get them-
To generate a DxDiag report, please use the following steps.
1. Click on Start, choose Run, and type in DxDiag. Hit OK.
2. In the window that follows near the bottom, click on Save all Information.
3. When asked where you want to save it choose your Desktop
4. You will now have a file on your desktop called DxDiag.txt.
To generate an MSInfo report, please use the following steps:
1. Click Start, Run, and type "msinfo32" (without quotes) and hit Enter.
2. This will open another window, click on File menu, select Export.
3. Save the file by entering the name as msinfo on your desktop
Try these suggestions and get back to me through PM. jyd |
