I have FS 2004 & Just Traffic 2004 and I fly from Manchester Airport in the UK most of the time. I have noticed that the planes are landing and taking off on the wrong runways! 24L is used for landing, but this is actually used for take off's and 24R for take off but again this is incorrect as this is used for landing, of course this all depends on the direction of the wind. But if the wind is coming from the north west (which it is in manchester motst of the year) planes should be landing on 24R and taking off on 24L, but sometimes I get aircraft's taking off on 6L and landing on 6R, but this would only be right if the wind from an eastley direction.
Can anyone advise further please?
Thanks and kind regards, Mat.

You say wind is from the northwest and the runway orientation is Northeast! So there is insufficient data to decide which runway to use right?
In your case if the wind is from 270 to 330 you would use runway 24 and if from 330 to 360 (all from northwest) you would use runway 6, I would presume. And if it is from exactly 330, use another airport ! Actually then it doesnt matter!
This is, ofcourse, assuming that there isnt another runway oriented in a different direction!
