I had this error come up today, and it happened not too long ago as well. Do you have any idea on what causes this?

Never seen that one. Are you overclocking, or doing anything special to the video card?

My first guess would be a sporadic problem caused by overheating. Do you have any other info that might help? Warmer than normal temps, other errors... how long has it been happening? Does it happen every time, or just every once in awhile?

Are there any graphics to consider? Only happens when IFR, or at night?

it happened right after i closed mozilla firefox. NOTHING is overclocked. I have 4 fans in my 1.6ghz computer, one auxilary, one PSU fan, one gfx card fan, and one cpu fan.
I was not running FS at this time and it never happens when i play FS... and it happens every now and then...

Maybe it wasnt so much to do with closing an app. as what happens once that app. is closed. High resolution desktop images arent the first thing that comes to most people's mind when drawing errors occur, but you have to consider all possibilities. Sometimes you have to think "out of the box", as in my suggestion above to consider what else is happening beyond the obvious.

T-Fish,

Let me know what you come up with. I noticed that it is a very old thread, but still seems viable with current systems.

Give me a shout if you get it or not, fixed that is.

Maybe uninstall the gfx card driver then re-install and update. Also is that Media Center 05 your running? Make sure you have the correct drivers.http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Hope it helps. Pray

T-Fish,

Just a guess, but an intelligent one.

Try getting new drivers for your card. Now remember, the newest ones are not necessarily the best ones to get. I would try a few of them. I know its a PITA (Pain In The A$$) but I think it will take care of your problem when you (hopefully) get the right one.

T-fish,

Just keep trying drivers untill it works. I know it sucks, but it is the only way to do it right.
