Hello all, I need some help. I don't know why but some of my add-on aircraft seem to drift to the sides as if I was turning the front wheel and ruddder, even when I center the rudder using the center Rudder button. This is only when in motion on the ground and allt he realism settings are on uber-easy (yea, i'm not professional lol). I also have FS2002 Pro. Can anyone help me out on how to fix this? thanks

Im not shore if this is the reason why! Do you own a Joystick Controller and use it to fly? If so how Old? Have you ever dropped it? well if so you need a new one. i just recently exerienced it but only when i start on the runway and not do a propper flight (like to lcao - egkk)! I need a new one but im considering a full simulation kit of Computer pilot which is about £150 in the uk! But you can pick ones up like £15 - £40! And get force feedback it makes it so much better! Im sure there is loads of Other reasons out there but thats all i can think of, Except if your rudders were off side but you said they were dead center.

i to have had such problems... i gently placed my Saitek ST290pro on the floor beside me and used the keboard keys to increase throttle... I finally found my problem...... Straight out of the box, I had to go in to Settings and recalibrate my joystick. (and i recalibrate it after about every 20th flight - a bit much i know, but hey, the more you use it the looser it gets)

My advice, go to settings, recalibrate your Device* and try again.

*device being joystick, yoke / pedals, or whatever you use

I recaliberated my joystick like 50 times till now... but have not gotten any change. Good idea, perhaps useful for other purposes, but didn't solve this problem Surprised ... Too bad. Sad

No, the airport was Teuge, Netherlands... But everywhere I fly with that Cessna (even in Holland), it always wants to go to the left...

i got the same problem now and have for the last 7 months so i just going to get a new 1. i think it is broken anyway because my Rumble force doesn't work and the aircraft move slightly to left. Recalabirated it and still no diff so. i just advice if you have the same probs after calabiration then get another. I also find the saiteks the best.

I don't beleive this is a joystick issue, otherwise many people wouldn't get it Think . It must have something to do with the game... Because my joystick functions perfectly and is brand new Drool

It's a joystick calibration issue. Many things will cause a joystick to lose calibration. Everything from system power to weather and humidity to airborne dust content.

It is a good thing to recalibrate your joystick often.

Another problem is spiking, where transient signal spikes cause your rudder to twitch. The only fix I know of (other than disabling the rudder portion of your joystick) is to use FSUIPC to remove spikes.

if your joystick works perfect with every other craft you have at that particular airport, my only guess would be to not use that Cessna. Try downloading another Cessna and see if you have the same problems... if you dont, have any new problems with the new craft.. use the new ones. If you experience the same problem with new craft... my only suggestion is to Quit flying Cessnas. I know how much fun they are, and my Cessna 172, grand caravan, amphibian at times "blunder" a little bit and i wish i could get my hands on that simulated mechanic so i can ring his neck, but i cant. Laughing haha

I can't stop flying the Cessna C182, because it is a neat plane to fly... and that is one of the two aircrafts I own! (using FsPassengers, that is). But the same problem occurs with my other owned Mooney Bravo. But the problem is less severe, but still there Confused

Congratulations.....this is one of the most obscure threads dredged up lately and gets the "beagle chasin' a rabbit" award. Keep 'em comin' guys, this is how we save on the size of the parking lot this database is squared up in. I must say a big thank you for all of the Surclaro links and references that have been popping up in the current tet-a-tet's . It shows the maturity of this forum that it can feed off of it's own database......that's a big deal in the world of "ask me" forums. Keep on clicking on the Top 100 link from our main page and vote for Surclaro.com. Only you can keep us #1!
