This is why *polls* are not allowed in certian forums. Case in point.
Tenspace, you are very vague in your options of poll choices. You could have added at least 2 more poll choices.
As with me, my brother builds mine, and then I modify it to suit my needs. The choices that could have been added are ( and I am sure somebody will add a couple more )
Since I am unable to delete posts in this forum, if the moderators could please delete this post, I will provide a more comprehensive, thorough and articulate poll where we can all share our levels of computer hardware expertise.
I'm all for a groupwide submission of the poll results, as recommended. You've got some decent suggestions. My intent was for a quick, informal poll, that's all. I don't mind being a bad example for others.

Ten,
I didn't mean to exploit you, or your poll as it is. Just trying to show to the other members what can happen in other forums what could show up.
If the general public had access to all forums to post polls, then alot of them would be like this.
If they ( you, now knowing how much diverse it could be ) understand the whole picture and the scenarios involved. Thought out intelligently, then we wouldn't have a problem. But, unfortunetly, not everybody see's it that way.
This shouldn't be deleted. It is a good example for alot of members.
Okey dokey RD, I can appreciate your zest for detail. As for me, I can kinda go for a simple poll now and then. Especially when I have wracked my brain over Roush Mustangs and custom Monte Carlos all day. You know, it would even be nice to step into a burger joint one day and be asked if you would like a hamburger, or fries, or both. Life is just too complicated, you know?
Cool. Like I said, it's okay to pick on me. I'm a thick-skinned geek from wayback.
With that out of the way, here are a few suggestions for our next poll:
1) I buy brand name only, wouldn't be interested in customizing
2) Custom PCs are okay, but I wouldn't service it myself
3) I usually mix and match my pc components
4) Custom PCs are the way to go, but I don't know if I could build one
5) My current PC is a custom that I bought
6) My current PC is a custom that I built myself
7) My next PC is ....
Don't want to get carried away. Let's pick six, maybe eight that we'll agree on. Hey RD, if you want to formalize your earlier suggestions, we could start building the list.
