| I only fly in the Pacific Northwest and I need to free up some H/D space. Can I remove everything but "Western North America" from the scenery library and then delete it all? Do I need to do a custom reinstall of FS9? |

Instead of deleting Scenery, wouldn't it be a lot safer to just go into the Scenery setup and just uncleck any Scenery that you do not want to use.
If you change your mind, you can alway go back in and check them again.
This will not free up HD space but it will allow FS to load faster. |

skipperdan,
I just tried it. I deactivated all of the scenery I don't need, restarted FS9 and then tested it. The stuff I deactivated is still there!! I went back to the scenery to double check and sure enough, it is deselected. I am using my laptop to get my flightsim fix while my desktop is packed away for moving. I do have to free up the H/D space if I can. |
