Hey does anyone know if the AI traffic in FS2004 reacts to you? I can't really tell, but it sure did seem like a Baron 58 actually waited for me to get off the runway first. I thought it would act like a car racing video game and he just run right into me.

Yes, to a degree they act or react to what ever you do.

Lets say your holding to get on with your flight. You notice an AI coming in at a distance. wait.....wait...NOW, get on the runway. The AI will abort the landing. Same as in flight. If you set your settings to not allow collisions, then as soon as you get close to one, it will turn, dive, shoot up, anything and everything to stay away from you.

So yeah, the game wants to stay away from you,,,,LOL

Thanks for the info rd. I just thought of another time when I think it reacted to me. I was landing at a big airport and the tower said "(tail number) caution Cessna on runway 6" something like that. When I landed, it got a little slick and I almost ran off the runway. Shocked There was a Cessna Grand Caravan at a hold line and I almost hit him. So, he waited for me to pass, then pulled out. I guess they do react.

Yes, infact, when you stop in the middle of a taxiway and there is an AI behind you, it will stop.
HOWEVER!!! I have had two situations which would, in real life, get the other pilot to be fired.

1) When I was on final (slow speed; Boeing 777), and I was nearing the runway, a Lufthansa suddenly just cut past me as if it was competing for first priority. In fact, ATC cleared HIM to land and ordered me to go-around when I approached touchdown!!!! That's sooo BS!!!

2) I was in a King Air, then landed at Aden Airport (Yemen). Then I went to the parking, shut down properly and made a very peaceful parking. Then suddenly a Cessna just came in behind me (at parking!!) and crashed taxied right into me asif he didn't see me!! I was parked, peacefully, then a Cessna just comes in and says "Hey, that's my parking" CRASH BAM BOOM SLUSH!!! My flight was a crash!!!

I have never seen in real life an incident AT PARKING an airplane crash before. The pilot of that one must have been drunk, stupid or both.

Download AI Smooth. It will help ATC order approaching planes into neat lines. It comes with Traffic 2005, but I think you can get it on AVSIM.

Not true. One I made a 350 mile journey and within 100nm from destination, a Cessna just crashed into me like that. I saw a dot grow bigger and bigger and then... CRASH!!!! That took place within a 3-second timeframe. No, they do not move for you. BTW, I was in a Rutan Boomerang at 250ias 7000ft.

Capt El,

Yes, it is basically true. You had it happen once in how many flights?? Try chasing down a plane in jet or any other a/c fast enough to catch it, and see what happens.
