Recently, I went to the World-of-AI to download some AI packs. I have never tried world of AI before, so i didnt know about anything else... so i installed it. Then, when i tried to start FS up, it shows the loading bar where it has to check the new scenery and stuff... after its done, after a minute or two, it just freezes there. I went into task manager and exited FS. then, i started fs back up again..... there was no scenery loading bar type thingy, it just hanged (locked up, froze,...) there...
i went into the FS folder, went to the scenery folder, went under world, clicked on scenery, and i renamed the world of ai bgl files. I started fs back up again... the scenery bar showed again, but it still foze after it was done loading. is there any way to fix this without reinstalling the whole thing.........?
but, if it really is necessary to reinstall, then i will do a backup and reinstall |

Does it freeze up when it's giving the percentage bar on the screen? Do you know at what percentage it dies?
I had this problem with a 3rd party plane loaded as my default. Until I changed to a different plane, it would always crash at 77% load (right before loading weather). |

| when it starts up, not creating a flight.... the scenery thing always loads all the way, disappears, and fs would appear to start normally, then it just freezes... no warnings, no alerts, no messages..... |

Your download could have been corrupted for many a reasons.
See if you can delete it all that it came with, and try and get another download of it. Install it again and see what happens.

Yes, that is definitely your problem.
If you would have said that at first, then it would have been fixed yesterday.
Not trying to be ugly, but you should know better. Give us ALL the information on what you have or have not done.

Ok, so now we have two situations: your new drivers OR your new WOAI.
I would suggest the following:
Uninstall WOAI completely and then see what happens. If it still fails to load FS, then uninstall your drivers and restore your previous ones (using one of those handy clicks in the Advanced -> Driver (watever).
a. If that worked, then re-install WOAI and see if it then crashes or not. If it doesn't, then... applause!
If it doesn't work after sucessful re-installation of WOAI, well... then crycry: uninstall WOAI and delete it forever.
b. If the drivers AND WOAI uninstallation didn't work... then I have no idea what to do next

Capt El,
His problem is his driver, not the WOAI. It will not freeze like a g-card driver error will.

Possibilities are one thing, facts are another.
Think about the order of how things start. Splash screen, pick your a/c and what nots. Then the sim works. WOAI isn't involved until he gets past all the before. It is dormant, DEAD.
Therefore, it is IMPOSSIBLE for WOAI to crash/freeze on the splash screen.
But, a bad driver will do it right away. Or one his system doesn't like.
Simple as that.

PAWNED, PUNKED, OBLITERATED, EMBARRASSED
Well, I guess I was wrong, life goes on. It happens, but not very often. I can take the ribbing I am sure I am going to get.
Glad you got it working T-Fish.

ok i tried another attempt at installing WOAI. I installed Emirates first, because i though they looked real nice at Dubai. FS froze. I exited it, uninstalled emirates, and installed all the other airlines i downloaded and tested them one by one. they all worked. (i didnt download all airlines)
so, if someone could please do me a favor, please test WOAI Emirates...
