| I have a problem with FS9 sound. Engine and ATC sound has disappeared although I can still hear weather sounds such as thunder and rain on windshield. Help please. |

Does this happen to certain aircraft? Or does it happen to ALL aircraft?? Have you had any add-ons that you suspect caused this? When did it first happen?

Did this happen before or did it happen just after you added those files?

Then perhaps I suggest you get the original sounds back from the FS CDs. Try searching in CD 2-4 for the 'Sound' folder (or .CAB files!!). Copy/paste the'ai_lgjet01 & xai_lgjet01' files back to the Flight simulator/sound folder.
Hope this helps.

Tell us your findings and results, so we can either analyse the problem further, or applause for the achievement!!!

Wait... BEFORE you do that, let me exhause my last resourse. Tyr deleitng the FS9 folder in the Appdata etc (if you don't know where to find that folder, first do a Show All Hidden Folders. Go to drive C. Then go to Documents And Settings, then *USER*, then Application Data, then Microsoft, then FS9.) Delete that FS9 folder. Don't worry, when you reboot Flight Simulator, that folder will be created again. Might be something destroyed/corrupted in there. Give it a try.
