Do you have the FS9.01 update installed??
I was going for drivers, but, that is not the problem. But, not having the updated patch, could have the same problems.

Don't you have sound on your own aircraft, or don't you have sound on the AI aircrafts? Or both? Have you checked for aliased sound?
Things are becoming a mystery lol.

First things first...it is NOT a good idea to send people files from FS discs as it violates the EULA. Many sites have been shut down due to such transfers. Advertising locations and sharing files on this site are a no-no.
Second, if you lost your sounds both AI and jet sounds then you have a corrupted sound folder. Reinstall FS sounds off the discs completely, reboot and check it again. Also update sound drivers and make sure you are running Direct X 9.0c. Post back if still having problems.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind. As for now I have nothing more to add, so yes, follow Exxman:
Reinstall Flight Simulator, simple as that.
