Hi I am just new at FS 2002. Can any one help with this question.

When I am flying from one airport to another and the ATC tells me to land on say runway 32. And there are a few other runways how do I know which is runway 32. I know it means go on bearing 320, but if there are a few facing the same way how Do I know which is which.

Thanks

The best thing to look at is the MAP.

He should say runway 32 left, or runway 32 center, or runway 32 right. Just use common sense. And like the last person said. Look at the GPS map. If you cant see the runway, well then you should have filed an IFR flight plan, and use the ILS for a safe landing.

Also, if you cant's see the runway, get some reference from the GPS or look harder on the MAP by zooming in and/or clicking on the airport for more information and details.
Happy flights!

First of all, as planesmart said the ATC has to be more specific if there is more than one runway 32. He/she should say runway 32 Left, runway 32 right etc. which then makes it simple.

In good visibility, you can fly over the airfield and read the runway directions off the ends of the runway (minus the left, centre, right part).

And if visibility is poor, you should be flying IFR anyway.

Can you be more specific about the airport so that some of us can take a look and be more specific in our replies?
