Line it up with a runway and start decreasing your alt.

Flaps are needed, you can do without them if you're expert.

Decrease your speed down between 200-300mph. (Depends on aircraft.)

When landed, easy on the brakes. If not, you could tip over some aircraft (especially WWII birds), or you could skid all over the place. <<<never happened to me, but it is possible (at least in real life:D)
