well, personally, I think gmax is very hard to use. In fact, it totally destroyed my ego as I could not figure out how to use it. But I am recovering, (though my wallet took a real hit) when I purchased FSDS V2.24 from www.abacuspub.com. It cost 35 but if you want to build a plane, its well worth the money. |

It's been a while since the original post but I'll add my $0.02...
I've been trying to figure out gmax for almost two months now, I try to believe I'm somewhat intelligent, but you wouldn't know it watching me try to manipulate vertices, calibration boxes, or the fact that I can't even use the zoom function with out screwing the whole thing up.
For me, gmax is great if I only want to build the spiked clubs from the tutorial, otherwise I'm gonna checkout FS Design and see if that one won't make me look quite as retarded. |

Hahahahha. I remember that tutorial. I couldnt even get a good looking spiked club. Heck, I couldnt really do much of anything. By the way, the program is actually $49. I forgot. http://www.abacuspub.com/ |

| Hey guys, now I don't feel as stupid either. I never made it through the manual (ran out of Tylenol). Seems to me if you 2 have had so much problems, the sim community should really appreciate the developers who have been able to figure it out. On the plus side, GMAX does produce some really nice add-ons that don't affect frame rates too badly. |
