hello all. As you know, in my sig, i quit TXA and i am starting my own much more realistic VA. the thing i need to know is, there are 3 brands of engines (usually) for boeings, right? well, like some engines, have lowest thrust rating in its class, some are highest, some are in between... forexample the rollsroyce on the 747 and the pratt&whitney on the 747, then the GE in between.
do higher engine powers burn more fuel much faster?
do lower thrust engines operate less efficiently or do they make the plane go slower?
do in-between-of-its-class engines seem to be the best? |

Google the research, it is there.
Yes, you can have the best power and the best efficiency all in one enginge. You will have to look up the stats and specs for power to weight ratio, gallons per minute of fuel burned at a certian rate, as well as the thrust ratings. Some will be max, some will be at cruise.
