I would recommend getting either the 6600GT or the 6800GT, both under $200. If you don't have it now, I would recommend also bumping your RAM to 1,024mb or higher. I prefer 1,536 as a minimum for both cards. My opinion only.

Here's a card I'd be happy with in the under $200 range. I'd rather go for a 6800gs/gt, but I don't think there are any available for that price... eveyrthing I've seen is backordered.
First Choice:
This one has a $30 mail-in rebate - it's $169 after rebate
7600GT (590Mhz GPU, 1.6GHz Mem, 256MB, 128-bit, DDR3, 12 pipelines, 2560x1600 res, OpenGL 2.0)

Rather than starting a whole new thread about Video Cards, please use the Search feature and you will find many responses on the topic of VIDEO CARDS. |

bball... even if these forums DO NOT carry the info, you can search other large fs forums... they have lots on those too...
try googling for some specs and compare things side-by-side and see which one best fits you and your PC |

so what, he cannot ask for our help now? older video cards are quickly turning into oblivion (literally, with ES IV: Oblivion out ) and he could ask us if a card is nice. I'd say the 6600gt is not worth getting any more, look at the 7600gs (which is really cheap and good for the price) or the 7600gt which costs a bit more but is worth it. Make Your choice, both are good cards. No point in buying any of the GF6's any more imo. |

| Bball, open the side of your PC case and look for the box, probably at the top in back, that has all those electrical wires coming out of it. That's the power supply. There should be a sticker located on it that gives the rating. You probably don't want less than 350-400W for newer video cards; make sure you read the video card specs, though. |
