I recently set up a flight plan on Flight Sim 2004 out of Laguardia. As I was preparing at the gate, I listened in on the ATIS like I always do. When it came to announcing the actives, it was like my ATIS went bonkers. "Departing and landing runways 6R, 6L, 7R, 7L, 8R, 8L, 9R, 9L ,12R, 12C, 12L and it just went on and on for about another 12 or so actives. Now we all know KLGA is about the size of 2 twinkies in a lunch box and that all those runways do not exist. So I ask, what in the world could cause ATIS to do such a thing?

How come some people don't have this problem? ...Or does everyone have this problem with the ATIS at KLGA?

Do you have a crossing runway AFCAD for KLGA? If you do, I can tell you what the problem is. To make an AFCAD for an airport that allows two runways in different directions to be active, you must somehow get them to do that by making little tiny runways that are too small to see, and that does it somehow. I have that problem with a few airports myself, but I don't know how to stop ATIS from listing those runways.
