I just have to you all what the AI did to me a couple of weeks ago. It's pretty funny, too. I started off in a Curtiss Jenny at some large international airport. Right when the flight started, I heard someone in a Learjet announcing takeoff......on the runway I was on! I throttled up and tried to takeoff before he did, but once I was airborne and had been flying for about 25 seconds, this huge Learjet flew directly over the top of my poor old bipe . I thought that AI somewhat reacted with you? Anyone else have an AI story?
By the way, yet another avatar! This time I wanted to show off my control-line plane. It's a Beechcraft Staggerwing with a Cox .049 glow engine turning a 6X3 propeller. It's estimated top speed is about 60mph with an average speed of about 40mph. |

Yes, but I think there's an option you have to set in settings first. I think it's something like, "Avoid Collisions" or something. |

I was sitting at an airport in South America one day, I can't remember which, and an AI plane has to make a steep approach because of mountains along the approach path. I sat there and watched it too see what would happen because it was coming in so steeply. When the plane hit the runway there was a big cloud of smoke and the plane bounced up about 40 feet and came back down and landed again.
I've seen a few AI planes on final go up and down, up and down, on a roller coaster ride while making an apporach. Weird. Why would they do that?
Has anyone tried to chase an AI plane? I used Rick Sasala's EA-6B to chase some jetliners a few times. I tried to get behind a 747 like I was getting in position to refuel from a tanker just to see how hard it was. It aint easy. The hardest part was matching the airspeed of the other plane to stay at a consant distance behind it. |

| I got this add-on that lets you see an AI plane's heading and airspeed in the labels above the airplane. I flew in a wingtip formation with another Cessna Skyhawk and I have a screenshot of it; I'll post it as soon as I find it. |
