| to put this plain and simple: how do i uninstall the nVidia firewall from my computer? the thing is a mess! i didn't put it there, it was there when i first got the computer. |

Well, if you didn't install it, then somebody did.
Did you build it yourself, or is it a chain store with your options on it??
Get ahold of whoever built it, installed it, loaded it, whatever. Otherwise, I can have you chasing monkey tails for a month on this one.
Seriously though, talk to whoever you got it from.
Heck, I didn't know Nvidia even had firewalls.

| yeah, well, i had the store-dudes put it together for me. they installed xp, too, with some software. |

I have just installed the Nvidea firewalls on my system and they work great, mind ya I built the computer, and installed windows, and all the drivers including the Nvidea firewalls!!!! I don't know what problem your having.  |
