Hi ,
Forgive me if something has been posted for this already, I searched but couldn't come up with anything. I would like to know what settings would put my frame rates in the twenties and possibly the thirties for my Nvidia 7800 GS.I'm currently getting in the low teens with stuttering and freezing sometimes.Textures seem to take a bit to paint. I've read a few posts where they are claiming frame rates of 40 -80 but no one ever talks about there settings. I'm not that knowledgable about the settings so if someone could post there settings that are working good for them, or point metto a post,I would really appreciate it. Thanks,
Ron |

I'm having the same 'problems'...
I am running the 7800 GS in combination with a athlon 64 4200+ processor and don't get more than 30 frames @ normal fs2004 environments, but as soon as I fly into add-on airports (Fly Tampa, Simflyers, etc.) the framerates drop below 10...
haven't figured out yet what causes this, because I think I should one should be able to get much higher framerates with this hardware! |

hey everyone, i don't have a good PC neither a good videocard....i have a ATI Radeon 9250 128 MB + Hypermemory, but i have 20+ FPS while recording on fraps and 40+ while playing fs with my settings to High-Max
one of the firsts things is the processes i will give you a tric if you contact me to my e-mail as i can't give it here because i posted the trick once and the webmasteres erased it, you can contact me at Nunez240@hotmail.com and i'll give you the trick,
Info: You will get higher FPS with higher texture quality, and hardly any FPS drop in tough scenery cities |

You have my curiosity about why the Webmasters erased your trick. There are many tricks flying around the internet these days. Some are safe and some are hazardous to your system. I would be very cautious about using any tricks that were erased. |

| First of all you can safely disregard claims of 40 to 80 fps. Whilst this shows a good machine, it has to be remembered that the human eye cannot see much above 25 fps, so try locking your frame rates to this. On your desktop right click and select NVidia Display then select your monitor. On the left hand side select Performance and Quality settings. On the right change your antialiasing settings to 4x and the anisotropic settings to 8x (these settings work fine on my NVidia 7800GT. Make sure that antialiasing is turned off within FS9. Download the latest drivers from http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp If your sliders are all maxed out to the right in FS9, try bringing them back a notch one or two at a time and reviewing the effect each change has on performance. Another good tip is to avoid large amounts of clouds, these are frame rate killers. Go for light clouds or clear weather. Other tips I have seen are - slide mips down to 4 and lights down to 6. Also turn off lens flare. There are also freeware programmes such as enditall and Fsautostart which will reduce the number of startup programmes to give you more memory. |

| Thanks "Flight" for some helpful suggestions on setting up this card.I'm running on an Intel 3gig processor with 2 gig of ram so I thought I should have enough horse power , it is just a matter of settings. |
