Excellent question:

What is VATSIM and how does it work? I went to the website they tell everything but what it does and and how it works.... Does it cost money? Typical of techies.

I assume that by FSX means Flt Sim 10?? Does that mean that the ATC will be considerbly improved????

FS9 is working great. Once I locked the frames at 24,, weird scenery problems went away.... But the ATC stinks....

On FS9/2004 ... when flying the default 737-400 in single player.... set com-2 to 118.20 Active. Set your Coms to **BOTH** Com 1 AND 2. This will set up a background effect of a more realistic ATC. You can hear all the other ATC's in the tower talking to all the other planes, and the other planes talking back. You still talk to your ATC controller over the background, but you can hear everything else also.

With regards to multiplayer networks VATSIM isn't the only one available...

I suggest you also try IVAO - www.ivao.aero

Personally I have tried both but stuck to IVAO... the reason being that I found IVAO much more active in European regions, especially my home country, Malta.
