I can't stear the plane when i'm taxing to the runways, but i can stear the plane when it's in the air. Anyone there can help me?

| On the ground, a plane is not steered by tilting the joystick left and right. Most likely, your joystick will have rudder control, which you twist the joystick to use. On the ground, FS2004 uses that control to steer, and in the air you use a combination of the two. |

| I have a Logitech Wingman Extreme joystick and every time I reboot my PC I seem to lose calibration and everything wants to pull right drastically and it's very annoying. No wind... prop or jet will veer off the runway. It seems I can recalibrate in real time in FS without going into Windows 'Calibrate Joystick' stuff. Try it - take off if you can, gain some height and then yank that stick to all axis' and crank it around in a big circle a few times. I have to do this every time I restart my PC but she levels out and flies right after this yank-it procedure and the subsequent flights are O.K. 'til a reboot. May work for ya. |

What a coincidence! I was just about to start a post concerning the same problem with the Logitech Wingman Extreme 3d. I had one for about 2 years, (until last friday) and I had the exact same problem. Recalibrating did nothing to solve the problem. Not only that, I found that when calibrating the twist handle would not twist completely to the left in the calibration bar, explaining how I could never do a proper left turn when taxiing! I did an internet search and found many posts relating to the same problem. I HIGHLY RECOMEND the SAITEK CYBORG EVO flight stick that I just purchased for the same price as the Wingman Extreme. It's EXCELLENT! (whats also neat is that all the programmable buttons light up in red!) There is also a force feedback model, but I think thats just a gimmick. Does anyone else agree on this or is force feedback realy a good thing to have or a matter of taste? |
