Very sorry it's been long time no post.

Bad news I'm afraid.
After sitting the 7 hour long aptitude test and being mentally drained, I had to wait twenty mins on the results. I was then called through to the office where I was told I was 10 marks short overall on the test for pilot. I was then given the choice of accepting Air Traffic Controller as I was well in the green for that path.

However I was told that if I really want pilot, I should then apply again next year or the year after - apparently when my aptitude is at its peak. So I shall be doing that.

So possibly two years out... what will I be doing?

The first thing that is on my list is to finally obtain a PPL. Not the UK one but the European JAR. By doing this, it should hopefully open up a few more doors as options.

Anyway, I really appreciate all of your support and I'll keep you updated as per.

Maybe you over prepared. It can cloud your reason in the heat of testing. Make sure there is a next time, and relax . . . you know your stuff.
