| Can I download and install PAI packages, ATI Packages and other AI planes and flight plans and expect them to all co-exist peacefully together? |

Yes it does but you first need yor 3 textx
aircraft
airports
Flightplan
Then according to the flightplan you will have a number like
ac#305...............
so ac#305 you open new notepad then youput the name of the aircraft you want to use *not the name as in BOEING 777-300 u need the title from aircrft.cfg to select the specific model my suggestion is read ai tutorial on this iste and read part 3! |

| So, TTools will make sure that planes are not parked on one another and planes and flight plans do not have the same number during the compiling process? |

i have read through all of the AI threads, and i am still having problems. This seems to be the closest topic i can find for the help i need.
the help i need is, i have about 100 total a/c, and i have tried to use TrafficChanger (ttools), but the ICAO that i fly out of has only 1 - 2 craft at any given time. I would like to see it have around 40 at a time. a lot of military, and commercial passenger airlines. I also created a bunch of parking at my ICAO, but nothing ever comes and goes.
any ideas on how to make my non-AI.... into AI, and get about 100 flights in and out of my ICAO ???
particular program that is EXTREMELY simple to use ?? step by step help if someone has the time ?? Anything would be appreciated. Thanks. |

You can't just throw together 3 text files and expect all of your AI to work correctly, and no, you can't simply throw together a bunch of AI A/C and expect them to all find parking spots, or all work together to figure out departure and arrival times.
You can either create your own AI system which will take some research and work or you can go to one of the AI sites and follow their way of doing it.
At a minimum you'll need TTools and AFCAD, both programs provide extensive documentation on how to use them, read it. There are also a few threads in this section of the forum that spells out in detail how to set up AI traffic regardless of how you decide to do it. |

To add to Ricks post, you will need to be proficeint with both Ttools and AFCAD. If not, then it will seem like alot of work.
Starting with your ICAO ( a/p ) you need to use AFCAD to assign parking codes, or add parking spaces and then assigning them as such. Since it seems like you want it for military a/c, you have some options to assign the parking codes with AFCAD. Just use the drop down box to assign the a/c to that spot. Which, of course, means editing the a/c cfg parking code.
As for now adding your Non-AI to be AI, is very easy. Decompile Ttools, then open your a/c.txt. Now, what you need to do, is go to the a/c that you want as an AI, is copy the TITLE of said a/c. Then in the a/c.txt. paste that title between the quotations of that a/c number. IE:
AC#1,200,"Beech Baron 58" Now lets say you want a B2 stealth bomber to show up. Just change it to: AC#1,200, "B2" , as the title from the a/c cfg is "B2". As long as you use the title, it will be there. Then save it and over write. It's that easy, BUT.
Now comes the fun part, and is easy to get confused or overwhelmed about. And that is editing or making flight plans for a certian a/c.
To keep this from being a novel, let me know what the ICAO is, and maybe I can help you out on what you need better. I've done it before, and have no problem doing it again. AS, building your a/p, a/c, and flight plans.

i have the ttools (not good at using it though), and i do have AFCAD 2.1 very good at using it as i added 2 rwys to **KCHS** (home field) with ILS, vasi lights, all the bells and whistles.
i see about 5-10 a/c at **KCHS modified.bgl** but the real KCHS has at least 100 flights from Delta, US Air, Continental, United, Northwest.. and the Air Force Base with about 20-30 C-17's.
as for the flight plans in ttools, those would be just to any airport?? ie: kchs to kdfw, ... kchs to kiad... ??
if you would like MY modified KCHS.BGL file so that you see my ICAO as i see it with the 2 new runways, and parking areas just let me know and i will email it. (private message me with your address) |

Hello All,
I've just answered my own question. You can decompile all of your AI .bgl files with ttools. Then, with ttools companion, you can merge the the different .txt files: flightplans, aircraft, and airports. Use the tool to merge ALL flight plans into one flightplans.txt file. Then merge all aircraft.txt files into one aircraft.txt file. Last of all, merge all airport .txt file into one file. You can then compile these three .txt files into ginormous .bgl file that gets automatically placed into your scenery/world/scenery file. Then remove all of the separate .bgl files and go fly. You won't have any duplicates or conflicting flight plans. I can explain better if someone likes.

Not to be rude, but those of us (me) already know that.
For those that don't know, pay attention to the above post. And yes, it does take a fair amount of time to do. If you want it, spend the time to get it, and get it right.

Hey RD, not rude at all. It's just the answer to my original post question. The cool thing is I read various posts, and figured it out with no hand holding. It seems that many of the AI problems that were posted (here and other forums) would/could be fixed by doing this routine. I wanted to share from a novice point of view (that's what I am) on the best Flight Sim Forum, bar none.
