Hi there,
I'm totally new to moding my games, alway play just has it come in the box, however I decided to try adding more traffic after reading about it.
I followed the instructions in "Part 1" the tutorial found here "To the letter" regarding TTools and installing AI traffic. At the end of this part of the tuturial it states
"After installing I always go back and open up TTools, and verify that I have these 4 files:
Traffic_PAI_British Airways.bgl on the right
Aircraft_PAI_British Airways.txt on the left "
Now when I do this bit, I dont get the txt files on the left (the left side of ttools is empty)
it also states that for the default traffic there should be files called "Aircraft030528.txt and Flightplans030528.txt".
After performing a search on my pc I find I dont have these files either,
Can somebody please help me, as I dont kow what I could have done wrong
Thnx in advance
Cru
Btw I have FS2004, just do you know |

The default traffic files should be located in your FS2004/Scenery/World/Scenery folder.
If your TTools isn't pointing in the right direction, it won't find the source (text) files which you should see in the left window of the program.
You can either use the "User Defined Source Folder" from the file menu in TTools and navigate to the location of the text files or just put the 3 traffic files "Aircraft, Airports, Flight Plans" text files in the same folder as TTools.exe and once compiled it will place the .bgl files in the FS2004/Scenery/World/Scenery folder provided you used "Locate Flight Simulator" from the TTools file menu. |

...another note. If you've never decompiled the .bgl files in the Scenery/World/Scenery folder, you won't have any text files.
If you only see .bgl files in the right hand window, hit decompile and that will give you the text files in the left window.
Be careful of what you do to the text files, you can cause yourself a lot of headaches if you inadvertently edit anything and don't correct it. |
