Hey, I just wanted to announce that, due to hard money times, I think I'm just gonna try to train to become a recreational pilot for now. And, sometime soon, I'll continue my traning a keep going for the Private. Sound like a good idea?

Thanks, groundsquirrel. That's actually something I say to myself all the time. I talked to my instructor and he said it really wasn't a good idea becuase recreational pilots are so restricted and I would probably spend the same amount of money.
Well, here's a note to all flight simmers in here: We all know how much we love our flight sims, but I have just about officially lost mine. It can be called "dead". My computer refuses to load the Create a Flight or Select a Flight screens, and I'm in a big jam here. Whenever I click one of the two, my computer stops responding and jams up. I can click ANYTHING else on the main menu and it quickly pulls it up.
When I press Ctrl-ALt-Del and pull up the task manager, I can click the performance tab and it shows me that it's using 100% of the CPU. The little "heart meter" line goes straight up top and stays there.
So, I may not be flying for a while, and I'm pretty ticked off about it. My brother said we can reboot the computer, but we need to save all of our files first. But......our 2-foot tall stack of blank CD-RWs has vanished. We have turned the whole house upside down looking for it and not a dern thing has been found!
Is it me, or am I suddenly forbidden from flight sim? |

| CDs don't cost an arm and a leg these days. DVDs do. I'm sure you don't have to backup EVERYTHING, do you? |

| Well, we don't have to backup everything, but there's a lot of photos of weddings, christmas, other important files we have that we could count in the thousands. So, there is a whole lot of stuff we must save. |

| I'm not sure what is was.... but it started working again after I deleted everything in my saved flights folder. My brother does say there are viruses that can be bad. Well, that problem's solved, onto the viruses! |
