C'mon, what could possibly be more fun than flying an overloaded Radial Otter at 300 AGL in a snowstorm, low on fuel, and reasonably certain that the strip is 5 miles ahead. Or maybe 6 miles, and it could be off to the left a little.

Plenty of great planes, gorgeous Canadian scenery, lots of nifty cockpit stuff to drive you nuttier than most normal Sim pilots...scheduled and unscheduled flights, good V-Pay, our own Teamspeak server, coordinated Multiplayer events.

Feel free to drop in and have a look...we normally charge $10,000 per membrship, but SurClaro folks get in for free. (Just kidding) Laughing

Later...
Garry

Uhh...what a wonderful way to make your debut here on our fine forum pages at Surclaro, Logger...I imagine everyone will warm right up to your fine way of communicating your thoughts. Nice one.

Hiya Garry2005. I'm not much for V.A's myself but thanks for the heads up, and best of luck with your endeavors. Smile

He will be soon if he keeps it up.

I helped Garry when he was building LewisAire. Due to time constraints, I had to leave. It was a blast while I was there. Almost 2 years.

And the opening banner... It's mine.

Logger,

I normally wouldn't give a response like yours any of my attention whatsoever. I don't know with any precision what it takes to earn a Yellow Button in these forums, but you are certainly deserving of it in my opinion.

On the other hand, I would like to think that you may one day be a valuable asset here in these forums, but you're not quite there yet, obviously.

Whatever past problem(s) you may have experienced with LewisAire or Garry himself is between the two of you and has no place in these public forums. Your hostile reply to Garry's call for pilots @ LewisAire was way out of line! If you have a problem with any one of our members, you should keep it on a personal level such as PM or Email, ONLY!

If you are a true FS enthusiast, I should think that you would want to be a welcome participant in any FS related forum in order to truly benefit from those who could potentially help you with your version of MSFS or hardware related problems. But you've spun a sticky web in which you've ensnared only yourself.

Again, I don't know what past association you have had with LewisAire, and I don't want to know. And neither does anyone else here in these forums. That is between you and your pastor and LewisAire.

In my personal opinion, LewisAire is the finest, bush VA out there! Garry's creation is sooooo deeply rich in content; not just another stamped virtual airline. I can't even begin to imagine how many happy and arduous hours Garry has spent at his keyboard creating this "jewel", much less maintaining it! Everytime I revisit www.lewisaire.com , I see something new and exciting happening. I would encourage everyone who receives this to not only visit LewisAire (often), but to join!

If I ever attempt to launch my own VA, Garry's fantastic creation is the first VA I would use as a model.

Logger, please take the time to rethink your last post and do the right thing.

Jaeg-

EDIT: Why doesn't my LewisAire URL work? I've recently experienced a similar problem over at Peter McKay's VA World!!! What'm I doing wrong?

EDIT BY RD: It does now. Just type in the " www.?????.com " and it will come. No real reason to use the url tag.

Logger,

No'one here is going to give you a tough time in these forums for doing the right thing. That's not what we're about.

You should know that our growing family has a number of active members who are critically ill for various reasons. Perhaps many more that we don't necessarily know about. We want very much to have you as a participating member. We want and need your expertise. We want and very much need your thoughts and knowledge about MSFS.

And we don't mind listening to your dreams and aspirations, too!

All of us would prefer to have you onboard as an active participant. But you have a little bit of soul searching to do and "do what's right". If you have the ability to flame one our members, you also have an open chance to turn that over into a positive thing. And believe me when I say that's what we're all hoping you will do.

Anyone disagree?

Jaeg-

This place is classic....we are pretty tolerant when someone messes up by posting nastiness or just plain bad attitude...I've had a few 'regretted' posts myself, usually some edge or attitude that wants to spew out of me after a gruelling day or whatever. I imagine we all have negative, limited, selfish..and even hateful thoughts on occasion...we're human..big time. I'm thinking the difference with some is whether there is a conciense, a feeling of uneasiness and regret when it happens to make it out of your brain and past your mouth...especially in public. I feel like an idiot usually within 10 minutes of any negative outburst from me, in whatever situation or company..even if I'm dead right in a conflict or argument. When my emotions get the better of me, it tells me that I lost control temporarily...and that's never good unless you're in love, lust or onstage. Laughing

Logger could come on here and say 'You know what, I've had a horrible day/week/life and I'm sorry for being a d*ck - lets talk flightsims and have some fun." and I believe he would be welcome here.

Thing is, after ample time to do so has come and gone or an offending member actually increases the venom or rhetoric rather than redeeming themselves...they don't need yellow boxes to be 'Persona Non Grata', they just get their whiny little butts drummed right outa here by all. Mods will berate them into the ground, members will help, and a few of us will (if needed) wield words like swords until their nasty little butts don't know which way is up. They usually leave in a whirl of embarassment..thankfully it doesn't happen often..I've only seen it a few times in a few years.
Great personalities, talents and characters of all types, from 15 to 70 frequent this place....and we stick around and make friends and help each other out and have a blast.
Don't be a d*ck.

My turn......

Everybody settle down.

If I thought Logger warranted a "pretty yellow box", I would have given him one. He posted his opinion, and probably his feelings towards Garry and LewisAire. However trite, or direct, it is his. I won't censor it, or delete it. If I did, then I'd be a dictator, and not a Moderator.

Does he owe an apology. Yes and no.

No, because you don't know him from shinola. You don't know what, if any experience he has or had with Garry and LewisAire. So on that, he may not feel he owes an apology, but you do, for not being in the Know.

Yes, he could, or should, so he can fit in again, and then have all of you then post the same thing. " That's OK, your forgiven, just don't do it again."

One post does not warrant a witch hunt. Or a burning at the proverbial stake.

Done

RD

Side Note..Probably not needed, but here it is.......
Quite a few of you, including me, would already have 1-3 "pretty yellow boxes" for previous outlandish posts. Think about it.
