Old news. One of the ATI cards, they are using WGF 2.0. Well, that has been dropped by MS. They are staying with DX 10.
Dates on these are close to and over a year old.

The R600, when complete and available, is supposed to run with DX10. The only ??'s is, will the first release of it be compatible with the upcoming GDDR4.

Ok, so I have been wondering for a while now. Just WHEN is the ATI R600XTX 1GB DDR4 RAM on board going be be released?
I would like to know now because my dad is going to Indonesia, and there he might be able to get the requested hardware.
Thanks a lot!

Why don't you do some work, and buy it yourself, instead of your dad paying for everything. Or...so it seems.

| Does it say ATI development center website around here? C'mon, how about tripping on over to the AMD site and checking the news and forums from the people actually making those products. Then, pop in here and " you tell me....." |

Oh you bet.. I paid the entire price tag for my 500GB HD myself, and am going to pay for the new PS as well. For the Graphics Card, I earned it.. because I took an entire Geometry course durign the summer (summer course), and passed the exams to enter Advanced Algebra, so my dad promised a new GFX Card. As for the Quad Core Processor, thats a future upgrade.
Im no a freebie.. I don't just jump on my dad's bed (LMAO@skipper) begging for something and expect him to say "alright, alright". Neither would this happen to any 'reality' family. (Probably those spoiled brats who own a house in the hills, and a private business jet and a limo, perhaps would..), but certainly not me. I worked hard for these upgrades. You can count on that. in fact, I sacrificed an entire summer holidays of relaxation and joy and meditiation.. into a summer school where I study for 5 hours every day for the entire Geometry course. I hated it, and it was my worst summer in my life. Because it was work work and work. But as a reward of 2 months of suffering from Geometry's evil powers, I got myself a new gfx card. And I am REALLY happy about that! In fact, I'm paying for 3 components (500GB HD, and 1.1KW PS, and maybe more RAM), and the rest i earn.
Does this explain something to you now?

Your father must be very proud of you. You and your father have a nice relationship where he rewards you for good grades and also rewards you for hard work.
I was wrong to jump to the wrong conclusions about you.
Note: We all jumped to the wrong conclusion became "many" times in the past you made statements that "implied" that you ask your father to buy a lot of stuff for you. You did not mention that you have already earned the money and you just want your father to make the purchase for you with his checking account or credit card. |

Thats right. Thats exactly right. Thats why I start these posts regarding which upgrade would be best for FSX to run at optimal speed.
I read about the ATI R600XTX, and I think that would be a mindblowingly amazing card!
Captain El
P.S. Thank you for understanding my situation.
P.S.(2). News read that it is ready by March, so when my dad gets to Indonesia, it should be ready and available. |
