| Has anyone been able to download the FSX free demo from M$? I get about half of it and then it stops downloading. I have a broadband setup and it downloads anything fast as hell. Not this file though. I hope that this isn't the kind of buggie product M$ is going to force upon us, with the countless updates and hot fixes. This isn't a good omen. |

The demo is a PRE release demo...wonder if u have seen screens from the BETA? It's not the final version, but it looks a lot better than the DEMO. Just so ya know |

| I downloaded Microsoft Flight Simulator X and installed it. After playing the demo for a couple of weeks, I started having problems with the "blue screen of death" causing a re-boot whenever I would start the FSX demo, so I uninstalled it. The graphics were pretty good but the frame rate was real slow, even with my "gamers" computer. I'm hopeful that when the game comes out on 10-17-06, they'll have the bugs out of it and it will actually play better then the demo. |

Flowdrip:
I am very sorry that you have been having a rough time downloading the Demo software. Please keep in mind that the Beta Team is still working very closely with the Microsoft staff. We are currently reviewing the third Beta release and each day we are providing feedback to Microsoft. I have submitted several Bugs to Microsoft over the past several weeks and I have received very prompt feedback from them which is a very good indication of their high degree of support to the Beta Test team and their commitment to this project.
You will be very impressed with the final product.

It's kinda like ridin' up to the Ford factory and pullin' one off the line, then complaining about the rain hittin' ya in the face. For the last time....
IT'S A DEMO
IT IS NOT FINISHED |

I suspect that many of the US members of Surclaro enjoyed their three day weekend and were able to spend time with their families.
You may be interested to know that the Microsoft staff responded to some of my Beta Test Bug reports on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. This is a good indication of their dedication to the FSX Project. |

Hey GS, I wasn't complaining about the product. I am complaining I couldn't complete the download from Microsoft's website. Besides, it would be rather hard for me to complain about FSX, beta or the final product when I haven't seen EITHER! |

| Even though I was starting to have a problem with some conflicts in WinXP Pro, while starting the demo, I do think the Microsoft team will do a great job in eliminating the "bugs" and am looking forward to the final version in October. |
