This is getting a little thin for holding water.
Nobody knows how a system will react with a given driver. Some can get the same driver, and half will benefit, and half will not. Depends on your total system and your settings.
If you know what your doing with drivers, then back up the one you have, and try all of the available drivers for your card. Some cards work better with older drivers, while some work better with newer drivers. You have to do some experimenting on your own.

| Good advice RD...makes sense to me. Regarding frame rates with the omega drivers, I don't know. I put in a Radeon 9250 with 250 megs over a Radeon 7000 with 64 megs and the settings page UI wouldn't even render without freezing up, using the drivers from the CD! I immediately went to the Omega driver from the internet and had a great experience with my new card. Like RD said, it could be different for everyone. |

| I just got FSX deluxe at Bestbuy. My sytem will NOT run it on ultra high, not even high. I get a 7fsp average on med high. This is what i think though, if fsx was originally designed for Vista and 64bit then it will run better on that, because it's bottlenecking our cpus that could run 64x. THAT IS MY THEORY! |
