Hi,

I remember that a while ago, that I could change some settings in FS to get the AI aircraft to fly yourself.

Can you give me the link to that or tell me what to do? thanks!

Thanks for your reply!
Thanks

Yes, there have been previous posts about flying the AI aircraft. AI aircraft lack panel and realistic engine sounds so they aren't flyable from their files. What you can do is download proper panels and other necessary files and put them in so they're flyable. But most people don't bother; you can just download a much better model of the same aircraft off Surclaro or AVSIM.

AI aircraft can be all flown - to make them flyable all you have to do is to edit aircraft.cfg, panel.cfg & sound.cfg files and to substitute the *.air file with one of a similar flyable aircraft.

Some AI aircraft have highly exaggerated flight dynamics and highly compressed exterior textures, so don't expect quality like Flight1, iFDG, or POSKY models.

Well, that's obvious. Usually, in one file 1024x768 must fit everything in order to keep the AI aircraft framerate friendly, while on the flyable ones you may have only the tail or the wings as 1024x768.
