As all of you have been dying for the past few months or so, it is now finally here!!!! FLIGHT SIMULATOR X!! I'm going to see if it is available in stores here in Egypt, and HOPEFULLY, i will find it and fly with it Cool Cool

One question though before I dwell in all its fabled glory, when will Vista be released that should have come with it??? Confused And why would FSX be released before Windows Vista?? I want it in DX10 and I want it NOW!! Razz Shocked

Do a search on the word "VISTA" and you will find the annoucement that I posted about a week ago concerning VISTA Operating Sytem.

Vista does not come with FSX.

DX10 does come with VISTA.

Microsoft programmed FSX to utilize it's full potential with VISTA and DX10. However, you will see some great improvements for FSX vs FX9.

AS YOU AGE, YOU WILL LEARN TO BE MORE PATIENT. SLOW DOWN AND TAKE TIME TO SMELL THE ROSES. Cool Cool

viche12345:

Thanks for noticing my mistake.

I meant to say, "You will see some great improvements for FSX vs FS9".

I flew with it two nights ago for about thirty minutes and was very impressed.

The past week has been very busy which has not left me much time for Flight Simulator. I am getting ready for Saturday and Sunday. I am a volunteer for an airshow this weekend and I am very excited. I have been assigned to the VIP HOSPITALITY CHATEAUS. This means that I will be working right next to the flight line and I will be rubbing elbows with the performers. I will be the one taking a lot of pictures and obtaining many autographs. (eat your heart out GroundSquirrel).

Skip, you still haven't answered my question, posted somewhere else on this forum. I apologize if the answer was already posted. Anyways, will FSX make any difference if I run it on Windows Vista (with DX9L)? Or do I need to have both?

Viche, it still comes down to this for all the glory of FSX.

Yes you will still need DX10 and a compatible card. As well as Vista. DX9l is basically a minor patch for windows XP to show "some" of the eye candy.

It is also supposed to help with the framerates that everybody is complaining about.

Hey! Can anyone post an air pic of Bora Bora Island in the French Ploynesia? (NTTB). I dont have FSX yett, but Im dying to know what it looks like in FSX!! What I'm looking for is the detail of the island (and probably the over-water hotels around the island), and the detail of the water thats out there! Razz Razz

Thank you very much, would be greatly appreciated.
