The funny thing RD is that it took me about 10 minutes once I began looking and reverse engineering some of the chrome paint schemes I had done for me. I know how to work in MSP better than any other program. I've been painting planes in it since MSFS95, but until recently (the last 18 months) never really tried things like weathering and chrome. I'm still working on my personal Convair 580 that is very cool with various shades of stainless steel, oil staining and exhaust. It's an ongoing project since early November.

BTW, this aircraft will be available when the CALX webpage is updated later this month. It's an almost total reworking of the Classic Convair, fast, economical, smooth. It's my "personal" aircraft for a reason. |

| Wow...pretty well a photo-real quality to the metal finish. It's all the little things you do after some trial and error that start to come together to produce intended results, eh? Very nice work. |

| Thanks. There are only two bare metal aircraft being stored in Mojave right now and late last year I got to go and walk around one of them. There's not much rain at the storage facility but there was enough to see how it discolored the aluminum or stainless steel (which can be stained regardless of its name) where the rain ran off the aircraft. Also, the sun bleached the top and left the bottom darker. This was pretty close to the pictures I took. |
