Can you install and run FSX on the same computer with FS9 installed but, not running??

Will FS9 be unchanged and still be able to run normally???

I have plenty of disk space....

Yes, all of the MSFS programs run independent from each other.

Thanks for the reply...
Yeah Fs9 should run with no problems, but, I did a google on FX install and some strange problems popped up.

It seems that after FsX is installed, the FS9 EULA will pop up when FS9 is started... I guess on some computers the Register gets scrambled and FS9 has a hard time starting up or will not start....

Also, it seems that FS9 directory is moved up one level of course this screws up all of the addon programs... Some say that you can move FS9 back to where it was and this will fix all problems...

Of course there are many factors depending on how the FS9 was installed in the beginning...

Why continue FS9? What I have read on a lot of Simmer boards is that FSX is more of a game than a flight simulator... It seems that many are removing FSX and keeping FS9... Curious????

It seems you only get two shots are installing FSX.

Hummmm, maybe I will just give it 6 months and then install it.... Gives me time to get a new computer with FSX compatible hardware. A lot of issues are still up in the air.... Maybe Vista will be out by then....

It seems that a new computer with FSX hardware with Vista op system is the best way to go..... What the heck, cheaper than buying a real airplane. Probably will knock a big chunk out of 5 grand...

I ain't in no hurry.. FS9 works great and I have a bunch of neat add-ons.
Got to fly the A380 down to Aussie land.... Got to get the Aussie addon scenery....
