I have Microsoft flight sim 2002 professional fully installed (1. odd Gb) and a Geforce 4 mx 440 graphics card with a Athlon XP 1.5Gb processor and 512Mb of Ram.

My problem is that when i start at an airport such as Manchester the textures on the airport buildings are blocky and i cannot see any jetways or ground vehcles (Aircraft tugs etc). I am running the game in 1024x768 with all the graphics settings at there maximum. Do the jetways and vehicles have to be installed separately ?

Any help anybody can supply will be greatly appreciated

Many thanks in advance

gbwta- Welcome to the game! It's a gas ain't it?

At Manchester, is this a downloaded scenery you got from a website that you installed or is it a stock one inside FS2k2?

Some of the big airports were really done nicely with a lot of eye candy, such as O'Hare at Chicago. Most airports were not. This just wouldn't have been feasable to make all major airports and real world textures realistic. The game would have been massive.

When I first staarted I noticed that Portland, OR. wasn't very true to form either. Someone recently did Portland and did a pretty good job with it.

If Manchester is a download you installed, maybe there are some missing files or bgl files you might have overlooked when installing it. I've done that a couple of times when installing panels and gauges for aircraft.

repost here or contact me at jyarddog@spiritone.com if you want to. I'm doing that with another guy (opps! that word 'guy'. Guy Fawlks? hehe). We have helped each other out with sceneries and ideas back and forth.

Try the following sceneries- Prestwick.zip, Glasgow.zip, & Edinberg.zip. The author did a beautiful job on these. He is also very helpful with any problems that might occur. In my case, the problem was not in his scenery but with me using an old version of Winzip. Problem was solved when i upgraded to the new Winzip version 8.1 Anyway, give me a shout if youi want to.
