Depends, how Vista handles the buss. I wouldn't make any major computer buys until Vista comes out and the vendors evaluate it...

The quad processors are out. I would think a quad with 8G of memory running Vista would be very nice.

FX with a DX10 liquid cooled graphics card with a Gig of memory would have nice frame rates and graphics so real they will scare you...

I read your reply 3 or 4 times but could not tell whether you answered my question or not?????????

We all know that there will be plenty of video cards for DX 10 that connect via PCI Express. Many of us are using older motherboards that do not use the PCI Express.

Do you think that anyone will offer a video card for DX 10 that connects via AGP?Cool Cool

Many companies have discontinued AGP and have moved on to PCI Xpress. Before Visiontek released an AGP version of the ATI X1900 series (X1950 PRO, i think), I presumed AGP was a goner. So I bet there will be an AGP card with DX10, but would drain lots of juice.
