| I created a fictional airfield using flight simulator scenery creator, afcad, and ezscenery. I made AI traffic to fly in and out of it. Now my problem is that the AI planes levitate about 5 feet above the ground when parked on the ramp and when taxiing. Is there a way to fix this problem so that they sit on the ground? |

not knowing what RD is talking about, and just to clarify for anyone else that stumbles across this that is having the same problems...... try going in your AFCAD, EZSCENERY, and FS SCENERY CREATOR and adjust the altitude of your airport to compensate for the AI being too high (floating), or too low, being under the ground..... although them being under the ground would mean that you would have to Adjust the AI to make them higher in altitude while on ground.
Hope this helps a little. |

LOL Chris.
He made a post in another thread, saying he fixed his problem by AFCAD elevation change. |

| Yeah it worked but you have to tweak it a bit because if you used AFCAD to create the taxiways and ramp areas then parts of them sometimes disappear under the terrain while parts still show if you set it too low. I had to settle for the aircraft being about a foot off the ground for all the taxiways and ramp areas to show. Whats weird is that I did flatten the area first before adding the first piece of scenery. I normally use flight simulator scenery creator to flatten the area, then I use AFCAD to build the runways, taxiways, ramp areas and parking, lighting, navaids, radio frequencies, and finally I use EZ scenery with the RWY 12 object libraries imported to add the buildings, hangers, vor, ils transmitters, windsocks, static aircraft, jetways, and other various scenery elements. |
